Frequently asked questions
Does AltConv send messages for me?
No. It suggests text; you click Send in WhatsApp or LinkedIn as usual.
Do I need to install something?
On desktop: Chrome extension (or compatible browser), then WhatsApp Web or LinkedIn — that’s where the AI assistant runs. Native iOS and Android apps are coming soon: a separate app with no built-in AI for now (see FAQ below).
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You often start free, then switch to a paid plan when you need it, from your online client area.
Are my conversations stored?
No. AltConv does not build an archive of your WhatsApp or LinkedIn threads. The text or excerpt you submit is sent directly to the OpenAI API to generate the reply you asked for, then the suggestion appears in the panel — nothing is sent to your contacts without you. We do not store your conversation content in our database: the dashboard only keeps usage metadata (date, credits, action type). Processing on OpenAI’s side is governed by OpenAI’s privacy policy.
Where does my account data go?
Account, credits, and technical history are hosted on Supabase. Payments go through Stripe. This marketing site mainly handles navigation and contact forms. For details (rights, retention, subprocessors), see the Privacy page.
Does this site use cookies?
Yes. A banner lets you accept all, reject all, or customize by category. Google Analytics 4 only loads if you accept Analytics or Performance. Necessary cookies (language, remembering your choice) always stay active. Details on the Privacy page, Cookies section.

Extension (desktop): Easy or Full panel to refine context (tone, language, LinkedIn options…) — not AI billing. Standard or Advanced AI model: chosen when you generate; Advanced uses about 20× more credits. iOS / Android app: separate app coming soon — no Standard/Advanced modes or AI generation in the app for now.
